Walking
Starting from the Punakha Dzong, head east towards the Punakha Suspension Bridge. As you cross the bridge, take in the stunning views of the river below. Once you reach the other side, continue straight until you reach the main road (Punakha-Wangdue Road). Turn right and follow the road for about 1 kilometer until you see a sign for Zomlingthang Camping on your left. The camping site is located on an unnamed road just off the main road.
Trekking
If you prefer a more scenic route, after crossing the Punakha Suspension Bridge, instead of turning right onto the main road, follow the dirt path along the riverbank. This path will lead you through lush greenery and offer a more immersive experience of the local landscape. Continue on this path for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach a fork. Take the left path, which will lead you uphill towards Zomlingthang Camping. Follow this trail for another 500 meters until you reach the campsite.
Bicycle
For those who wish to cycle, you can rent a bicycle at one of the local shops in Punakha. Begin your journey from the Punakha Dzong and head towards the Punakha Suspension Bridge. After crossing the bridge, ride along the Punakha-Wangdue Road heading east. Maintain a lookout for the Zomlingthang Camping sign on your left after approximately 1 kilometer. The entrance to the campsite will be on an unnamed road, which you can access with your bicycle.
