From your current location in Punakha, head towards the main road (Punakha Dzong Road). Walk north until you reach the intersection with the Punakha Suspension Bridge. Cross the bridge, and continue walking straight until you reach the junction. Turn right onto the road leading towards Paro. Follow the road for approximately 3 kilometers until you see signs for Rinpung Dzong. The entrance will be on your left.

Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Punakha. Start your journey by cycling towards Punakha Dzong Road. Continue heading north and cross the Punakha Suspension Bridge. After crossing, maintain your straight path and follow the signs towards Paro. Keep cycling for about 3 kilometers; you will see Rinpung Dzong on your left side as you approach the area.
