Car
If you are traveling by car from within Sarpang District, first locate the main road (Phuentsholing to Thimphu Highway). Drive towards the town of Sarpang. Once you reach the intersection near the Sarpang Dzong, take a left turn and continue driving for about 12 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Semtokha. Follow the signs until you reach Simtokha Dzong, which is located at 846 Je Bamo Lam SE, Tshatshobaykha.
Public Transportation (Bus)
For those using public transportation, find the nearest bus station in Sarpang. Look for buses heading towards Thimphu or Semtokha. The ride will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on stops. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at Semtokha. After disembarking, you can either walk to the Dzong, which is about 1.5 kilometers away, or hire a local taxi for a short ride. The taxi fare should not exceed 100 Ngultrum.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from any location in Sarpang. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand. The cost should be approximately 500 to 700 Ngultrum depending on your starting point. The taxi will take you directly to Simtokha Dzong. Confirm with the driver that they know the location at 846 Je Bamo Lam SE, Tshatshobaykha.
