From Sarpang, head east on the main road towards Gelephu. Continue for approximately 30 km until you reach the town of Gelephu. From Gelephu, take the road heading north towards Phobjikha Valley. Follow this road for about 45 km, passing through the scenic landscape of Bhutan. After reaching Phobjikha Valley, look for signs leading to Gangtey Monastery, which is located about 10 km from the valley entrance. The monastery is situated on a hilltop, so there will be a short uphill drive. Ensure to check for parking options near the monastery.

From Sarpang, take a local bus heading to Gelephu. Buses typically run every hour and the fare is approximately 100 BTN. The journey will take around 1 hour.
