Car
From Sarpang, head west on the main road (National Highway 2) towards Wangdue Phodrang. After approximately 45 km, you will reach the junction for Gangtey Valley. Turn left onto the road that leads to Gangtey. Continue driving for about 30 km until you reach the entrance of Gangtey (Phobjikha) Valley. Follow the signs to Gangtey Lodge, which is located just below the monastery. The total travel time is around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition, as some roads may have rough patches.

Public Transportation
To reach Gangtey Lodge from Sarpang using public transportation, first take a bus heading towards Wangdue Phodrang from the Sarpang bus terminal. Buses run frequently, and the fare is about 100-150 Ngultrum. After approximately 1 hour, get off at the Wangdue Phodrang junction. From there, you can hire a taxi or local shared vehicle to Gangtey. The taxi fare to Gangtey will be around 500-700 Ngultrum and will take about 30 minutes. Confirm with the driver that they are heading to Gangtey Lodge specifically.
