Car
Start from the center of Sarpang town. Head towards the Sarpang-Punakha-Thimphu highway. Once you reach the highway, turn left and drive for approximately 15 kilometers. Look for the sign indicating Wolakha Nunnery, which is located on the left side of the road. The nunnery is situated at coordinates 27.532846, 89.8627398. There is a small parking area available near the nunnery.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From Sarpang town, locate the bus station. Take a bus heading towards Punakha or Thimphu. Inform the driver or conductor that you want to stop at Wolakha Nunnery. The journey will take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the designated stop, you may need to walk about 1 kilometer back towards the nunnery. Follow the signs or ask locals for guidance.
Taxi
You can hire a taxi from Sarpang town. Negotiate a fare before starting your journey. The distance to Wolakha Nunnery is about 15 kilometers, and the ride should take around 20-30 minutes.
