From Wangdue Phodrang town center, head east towards the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong. Walk past the dzong and continue on the main road heading towards the Punakha Valley. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the left path that leads towards the village of Sangchokor. Continue on this path for about 2 kilometers until you reach a small wooden bridge. Cross the bridge and follow the trail that leads uphill. This trail will take you through lush forests and offer scenic views. After about 1 kilometer, you'll reach a small clearing. From this point, the path to Chumphu Nye will be marked with prayer flags. Continue following the trail for another 1.5 kilometers until you arrive at Chumphu Nye.
