Getting There

Walking
From the center of Wangdue Phodrang, head east towards the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong. Once you reach the Dzong, continue along the main road (the Wangdue Phodrang - Gangtey Road) for about 15 kilometers. Look for signs indicating the direction to Gangtey. When you reach the junction at Nubding, take the turn towards Unnamed Road. Follow this road for approximately 3 kilometers until you see the entrance to the Gangtey Nature Trail on your left. The trailhead is well-marked.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle in Wangdue Phodrang and start your journey towards the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong. From the Dzong, take the Wangdue Phodrang - Gangtey Road and cycle for about 15 kilometers. Keep an eye out for the Nubding junction, where you will turn onto Unnamed Road. Continue cycling for another 3 kilometers until you arrive at the Gangtey Nature Trail entrance. The ride is scenic, with beautiful views of the valley.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can hike from Wangdue Phodrang to Gangtey Nature Trail. Start your hike by following the path that leads to the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong, and then continue along the Wangdue Phodrang - Gangtey Road. This route is approximately 15 kilometers and will take you through beautiful landscapes. When you reach the Nubding junction, take the turn onto Unnamed Road and hike for an additional 3 kilometers to reach the trailhead. Be prepared for some elevation changes and bring plenty of water.
