From Wangdue Phodrang town, start at the main street (Chhuzom). Head southeast on the main road, following signs towards Punakha. Continue walking for about 12 kilometers until you reach the Punakha Dzong. Once at the Dzong, cross the river using the nearby pedestrian footbridge. After crossing, turn left and follow the path along the riverbank for about 1 kilometer. You will see the Suspension Bridge ahead, spanning across the river.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle in Wangdue Phodrang town. Start from the main street and ride southeast towards Punakha, following the road signs. The distance is approximately 12 kilometers. As you approach Punakha, you will see the Punakha Dzong on your left. Park your bicycle near the Dzong, then walk across the river using the pedestrian footbridge. After crossing, turn left and follow the riverbank path for about 1 kilometer to reach the Suspension Bridge.

Take a local bus from Wangdue Phodrang to Punakha; buses frequently depart from the main bus terminal. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Punakha, get off at the Punakha Dzong stop. From there, walk across the river using the pedestrian footbridge adjacent to the Dzong.
