Getting There

    From Chacaltaya, take the main road heading east towards La Paz. After approximately 10 km, you will reach the fork where the road splits. Follow the signs for Huayna Potosí and continue for another 12 km. The road will take you through scenic mountain landscapes. Look out for the signs indicating the Huayna Potosí base camp, which will be on your left. Parking is available at the base camp, and you may need to pay a small fee (around 10 BOB) for parking.

    From Chacaltaya, you'll need to return to La Paz to catch a bus to Huayna Potosí. Take a taxi or local minibus back to La Paz, which should cost around 40 BOB.
