Take the left fork and follow the signs towards Montaña Huayna Potosí. The road will take you through scenic landscapes and up into the mountains. Be cautious of the altitude and road conditions. Once you arrive at the parking area, you will need to hike the remaining distance to the base of the mountain.

    From Chacaltaya, locate the nearest minivan stop that heads to La Paz. You can find these stops typically near local markets or central plazas. Board a minivan heading to La Paz, which costs around 10-15 BOB. After about 30 minutes, get off at the 'Ntra. Sra. de' junction. From there, you may need to wait for a local taxi or a pickup truck that operates in that area to take you closer to Montaña Huayna Potosí for an additional 20-30 BOB. This will drop you off near the trailhead.
