Walking
From the center of Uyuni, head east on Avenida Potosí for about 1 kilometer. You will pass local shops and cafes. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida Ferroviaria. Turn left onto Avenida Ferroviaria and walk for another 1.5 kilometers. You will see the entrance to the Salt Flats (Salar de Uyuni) on your right, marked with tourist signs.
Bicycle rental
Start from Plaza Principal in Uyuni. Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops nearby. Cycle east along Avenida Potosí for about 1 kilometer. After reaching the intersection with Avenida Ferroviaria, turn left. Continue on Avenida Ferroviaria for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you see the entrance to the Salt Flats (Salar de Uyuni) on your right. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local cycling rules.
Group tour
Visit one of the many tour agencies in Uyuni, mainly located on Avenida Potosí or near Plaza Principal. Book a group tour to the Salt Flats (Salar de Uyuni). Most tours depart in the morning. The agency will provide transportation to the Salt Flats and guide you through the experience. Ensure you confirm the pick-up point and time.
Motorcycle taxi
Find a motorcycle taxi (also known as 'moto-taxi') at any location in Uyuni, especially near Plaza Principal. Negotiate a fare to take you to the entrance of the Salt Flats (Salar de Uyuni). The ride should take approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to wear a helmet for safety.
