Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the main road in Bjelasnica Mountain. Drive towards the village of Tjentište, which is approximately 30 km away. Follow the signs towards the Sutjeska National Park. After reaching Tjentište, continue on the road towards the park entrance. Once you enter the park, look for the signs leading to Maglić. The parking area is located at the base of the mountain. Be aware that there may be a parking fee of around 5 BAM (Bosnian Convertible Marks). From the parking area, you will need to hike approximately 2-3 hours to reach the summit of Maglić.

Public Transportation
For public transportation, take a bus from Sarajevo to Tjentište, which is the closest major town to Maglić. Buses run several times a day, and the journey takes about 2-3 hours. Once you arrive in Tjentište, you can either take a taxi to the Sutjeska National Park entrance or walk (it’s about a 5 km walk). The taxi fare should be around 10-15 BAM. After entering the park, you will still need to hike to reach Maglić, so ensure you have proper hiking gear and water for the trek.

Regardless of whether you arrive by car or public transport, prepare for a rugged hike. The trail to Maglić is well-marked but can be challenging. It is advisable to start early in the morning to allow ample time to reach the peak and return before dark.
