If you're traveling by car, start your journey in Podrinje. Head northwest on the M5 highway, following signs for Sarajevo. The drive is approximately 2 hours (about 120 km). As you approach Sarajevo, take the exit toward the city center. Once in the city, follow signs for 'Stari Grad' (Old Town). Continue onto Hamdije Kreševljakovića Street, where you will find the Ashkenazi Synagogue at number 59. There is street parking available, but be mindful of local parking regulations.

To reach the Ashkenazi Synagogue via public transport, start by taking a bus from Podrinje to Sarajevo. Buses run frequently and the journey takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive at the main bus station in Sarajevo, you can take tram number 3 towards 'Baščaršija'. Get off at the 'Pionirska Dolina' stop. From there, it’s a short 15-minute walk to Hamdije Kreševljakovića Street. Head east on Kranjčevićeva Street, then turn left onto Hamdije Kreševljakovića. The synagogue will be on your right at number 59.
