Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Baščaršija area, head towards the main street, Ferhadija. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with the street called 'Trg oslobođenja'. Continue straight, and you will see the historic Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque ahead. Keep walking towards the mosque. Once you are in front of the mosque, take a left onto 'Bazar' street. Follow this street until you reach the end, and you will find yourself at the entrance to the Tunnel of Hope.

  • Public Transport - Tram

    If you prefer public transportation, walk to the nearest tram stop at 'Baščaršija'. Board tram number 3 or 6, heading towards 'Ilidža'. Travel for about 10-15 minutes and get off at the 'Harmani' stop. From there, walk straight for about 10-15 minutes, passing through a residential area until you reach the Tunnel of Hope. Please note that a ticket for the tram costs approximately 1.60 BAM.

  • Taxi

    For a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Baščaršija to the Tunnel of Hope. Taxis are readily available in the area. Make sure to agree on a fare before you get in. The distance is about 5 km and should cost around 10-15 BAM depending on traffic conditions.
