    From Maun, the gateway town to the Okavango Delta, a 4-5 hour drive in a 4x4 vehicle is essential to reach Moremi Game Reserve. Roads can be challenging, especially during the wet season. Upon entering Moremi Game Reserve through South Gate, Third Bridge Campsite is approximately 60km via Xakanaka. Ensure you have sufficient fuel and supplies, as facilities within the reserve are limited.

Third Bridge Campsite is located on the western side of Moremi Game Reserve, along an offshoot of the Moanachira River. This campsite provides a unique and immersive wilderness experience, bordering the Okavango Delta and Mboma Island. The area is renowned for its high concentration of wildlife, particularly during the dry season. To reach Third Bridge Campsite, travelers can take a 58km route northwest, passing through diverse scenery and crossing the First and Second bridges. Alternatively, a 60km route from the South Gate leads through the Mophane forest via Xakanaka. The campsite offers ten spacious camping pitches, allowing visitors to enjoy the surroundings in peace and privacy. Facilities include newly built ablution blocks with toilets and showers, as well as a standpipe for water. Visitors can engage in various activities such as game drives to Paradise Pools, boat cruises, and transfers to the Gcudikwa and Gxhobega lagoons, known for their heronries of migratory birds. These lagoons can be accessed by boat transfers from the Third Bridge boat station. Keep in mind that the campsite is unfenced, allowing wildlife to roam freely. Baboons are common during the day, and hyenas are often seen in the evenings. Elephants and hippos also frequent the campsite.
