    The most convenient way to reach Santawani Lodge is via a 15-minute flight from Maun to Santawani Airstrip. The lodge provides complimentary return airstrip transfers. Confirm transfer arrangements with the lodge prior to your arrival.

    From Maun, the drive to Santawani Lodge is approximately 3-4 hours, requiring a 4x4 vehicle due to the challenging road conditions. Follow the A3 towards Moremi Game Reserve. Upon entering the park, navigate towards the South Gate area. From South Gate, continue south, following signs for Santawani Lodge. Note that park entry fees are approximately BWP 120 per person per day, plus a vehicle fee of BWP 50 per day. Ensure you have sufficient fuel and supplies, as facilities are limited within the reserve.

Santawani Lodge provides an intensive game experience with highly qualified local guides and custom-built Toyota Land Cruiser game viewers. Activities include day and night game drives, offering opportunities to spot lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and a host of smaller predators. The lodge is also known for its frequent sightings of the endangered African wild dog, especially during their denning season from June to August. The Gomoti River runs nearby, attracting a diverse array of mammal and bird species. Community involvement is at the heart of Santawani Lodge, as it is fully owned and managed by the local community members through the Sankuyo Tshwaragano Management Trust.
