Third Bridge Campsite: Okavango Delta Wilderness

Third Bridge Campsite, situated on the western side of Moremi Game Reserve along the Moanachira River, provides a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the Okavango Delta's wilderness. Named for the third bridge encountered when entering from the south, this campsite is surrounded by floodplains, waterways, and mopane woodlands, creating a diverse habitat for a variety of wildlife. The unfenced nature of the campsite allows for close encounters with animals such as elephants, lions, hyenas, and various bird species. The camp offers basic but well-maintained facilities, including ablution blocks with hot showers and flush toilets, as well as braai areas at each campsite. There is also a small kiosk that sells firewood and other basic supplies. From Third Bridge, visitors can explore the surrounding Moremi Game Reserve on game drives, boat trips, and guided walks. The area is known for its high concentration of wildlife, especially during the dry season. Boat trips and transfers can also be arranged to the Gcudikwa and Gxhobega lagoons, where migratory birds gather. Keep in mind that a 4x4 vehicle is essential to reach the campsite, and self-sufficiency is required, as there is no electricity or mobile signal.
