    The most common way to reach Duba Explorers Camp is by light aircraft from Maun Airport (MUB). Several air charter companies operate from Maun, offering flights to the Duba Plains Airstrip. From the airstrip, it's approximately a 15-minute drive through the bush to the camp. A shared plane flight can range in price depending on the operator and number of stops. Duba Explorers Camp, nestled in the northeast corner of Botswana's Duba Concession, presents an authentic and immersive safari experience in the Okavango Delta. This intimate camp, part of the Great Plains Explorer-Collection, evokes the spirit of the original 1920s safaris, offering a unique blend of vintage charm and exceptional wildlife viewing. The camp is situated on a wooded island within a 33,000-hectare private reserve, surrounded by floodplains, channels, and woodlands. The location provides clear views of the surrounding water channels, allowing cool breezes to pass through the camp and guest tents. The five expedition-style canvas tents are raised on decking and shaded by mature jackalberry, leadwood, mangosteen, and sycamore-fig trees. Each tent is furnished with a campaign writing desk, a private veranda, and en-suite bathroom facilities. Duba Explorers Camp is known for its superb game viewing, with morning, afternoon, and evening drives available. When water levels permit, guests can explore the waterways by boat or traditional mokoro (dugout canoe). The area is particularly renowned for its lion prides, as well as sightings of elephants, buffalo, leopards, and wild dogs. Bird watching is also excellent, especially during the Green Season. The camp focuses on fostering an understanding of the delicate interplay between local species and their relationship with the Okavango Delta environment.
