    Getting There

    Air

The most common way to reach Moremi is by flying into Maun International Airport (MUB). From Maun, you can take a charter flight directly to an airstrip within the reserve, such as Xakanaxa or Khwai. Mack Air operates these shuttle flights, with rates varying depending on your destination, typically between US$210 and US$240 per person per way. This scenic flight offers stunning aerial views of the Okavango Delta.

    Road

Alternatively, you can drive from Maun to Moremi, a journey of about 4-5 hours. A 4x4 vehicle is essential, especially during the wet season, due to challenging road conditions. The road starts as a well-maintained tarred road, then becomes a gravel road after Shorobe, and finally turns into sandy 4x4 country after the veterinary control fence. Self-drive safaris are enjoyable for experienced 4x4 drivers. Guided tours often provide transportation from Maun. Park entry fees for international non-residents are approximately $11 USD per adult per day. Vehicle entry fees are around $8 USD per day.
