Vumbura Plains, a premier camp in the far north of Botswana's Okavango Delta, presents an unparalleled safari experience in a lush and diverse landscape. Situated in a 60,000-hectare private wilderness area bordering the Moremi Game Reserve, the camp is known for its varied environments, attracting a high density of wildlife. The area encompasses open floodplains, dense mopane woodlands, permanent swamplands, and waterways, offering a range of habitats for diverse species.The camp itself is comprised of two near-identical satellite camps (North and South), each with seven rooms. The spacious, open-plan suites feature floor-to-ceiling glass panels providing cinematic views of the floodplains. Each suite includes a private plunge pool and shaded daybed. The camp's design incorporates wood, glass, and canvas, reflecting the colors of the Delta.Vumbura Plains offers both land and water-based activities, allowing guests to explore the Okavango Delta's unique ecosystem. Game drives provide opportunities to see elephants, giraffes, and various antelope species, while boat trips and mokoro excursions offer a chance to navigate the waterways and spot hippos and crocodiles. The area is also known for its predator sightings, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and African wild dogs. Birdwatching is exceptional year-round.Vumbura Plains is committed to responsible tourism and partners with the Okavango Community Trust (OCT) to support local communities.
