Car
To reach Northern Tuli Game Reserve by car, start in the town of Maun, which is a common entry point for tourists in Botswana. Head southeast on the A3 highway towards the town of Palapye. Continue for approximately 160 kilometers until you reach the junction with the A14 road. Turn right onto A14 and follow the signs towards Pont Drift. After about 70 kilometers, you will see signs for Northern Tuli Game Reserve. Make sure your vehicle is suitable for gravel roads, as some parts of the route may require a 4x4.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from Gaborone to Palapye. The journey takes about 3 to 4 hours, and you should confirm bus schedules in advance as they can vary. Once in Palapye, you can catch a local taxi or arrange for a shuttle to take you to Pont Drift. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance of the Northern Tuli Game Reserve. Be aware that public transport can be less frequent, so plan accordingly for your return trip.
Private Shuttle
For a more comfortable option, consider booking a private shuttle service from Gaborone or Maun directly to Northern Tuli Game Reserve. This can be arranged through local tour companies. The cost will vary depending on the number of passengers and the distance, so it's advisable to get a quote in advance. This option allows for flexibility and direct access to the reserve without the hassle of multiple transfers.
