Murici Ecological Station: A Haven of Biodiversity

Located in the heart of Alagoas, Brazil, the Murici Ecological Station (Estação Ecológica de Murici) stands as a crucial protected area dedicated to preserving the Atlantic Forest biome. Sugarcane plantations and cattle ranching have degraded the surrounding areas, and the lack of compensation to former landowners has led to encroachment.
