    Boa Nova National Park, situated in the southwestern region of Bahia, Brazil, is a vital conservation area protecting the transition between the Atlantic Forest and the Caatinga biomes. Established in June 2010, the park spans 12,065 hectares across the municipalities of Boa Nova, Dário Meira, and Manoel Vitorino. The park's primary objective is to safeguard and revitalize the natural ecosystems, preserve endangered species, and promote scientific research, education, and eco-tourism. The park's diverse landscape features rugged terrain with altitudes ranging from 440 to 1,111 meters, encompassing semi-deciduous submontane forest, montane rainforest and semi-deciduous lowland forest. This creates a rich environment for a plethora of plant and animal species, including endemic and endangered ones. Birdwatchers will be delighted by the over 460 recorded bird species, including the endangered slender antbird (Rhopornis ardesiacus), Bahia spinetail (Synallaxis whitneyi) and Bahia tyrannulet (Phylloscartes beckeri). Other attractions include the Cachoeira Sete de Setembro waterfall and the Mirante do Rio Chumbo lookout point.
