Car
From Alto Paraíso de Goiás, drive southeast on GO-118 towards São Jorge. In São Jorge, continue on GO-239 for approximately 11 km. Look for a sign indicating Cachoeira do Segredo and turn left onto an unpaved road. Follow the unpaved road for about 5 km to the parking area. From the parking area, hike approximately 2 km to the waterfall. Entrance fee is R$60 per person.
Public Transport
Take a bus from Brasília to Alto Paraíso de Goiás. From Alto Paraíso, take a shared taxi or van to São Jorge (R$30-R$50). Ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance of the Cachoeira do Segredo trail. From there, follow the directions for the hiking trail as detailed for car travelers. Entrance fee is R$60 per person.
Walking
From the parking area, the trail to Cachoeira do Segredo is approximately 2 km and takes about 30-40 minutes. The trail is well-marked but can be rocky, so wear comfortable shoes. Follow the trail, crossing rivers and passing natural pools, until you reach the waterfall. Be aware of the signs that alert for the risk of falls and hypothermia.
