Enchanted Well Waterfall: A Hidden Paradise in Goiás

Cachoeira Poço Encantado, or the Enchanted Well Waterfall, is a captivating natural monument located in Teresina de Goiás, within the Chapada dos Veadeiros region. The waterfall is divided into two sections, with the upper part cascading down 18 meters and the lower section dropping 20 meters, totaling approximately 38 meters in height. The base of the waterfall forms a natural pool, roughly 50 meters in diameter, inviting visitors to marvel at its beauty. One of the most striking features of Poço Encantado is the beach of white sand that appears and changes with each flood, creating unique shapes and sizes. The crystal-clear waters allow for excellent visibility, making it a popular spot for photographers and nature enthusiasts. The waterfall is situated on the Rio de Pedra farm, about 52 km north of Alto Paraíso-GO and 274 km from Brasília-DF, nestled within one of the most beautiful regions of the Cerrado biome in the State of Goiás. Teresina de Goiás, the youngest municipality in Chapada dos Veadeiros, is developing its infrastructure to welcome tourists to natural attractions like Poço Encantado and Cachoeira da Força.
