    The nearest major city to Parque Nacional das Emas is Goiânia. From Goiânia, take the roads to Chapadão do Céu. Renting a vehicle with high ground clearance is recommended due to potentially rough road conditions, especially during the rainy season. There are two access entrances to the park: one 25 km from Chapadão do Céu via the Keep of the Flag gate, leading to the park headquarters, and another 80 km from Mineiros via the Jacuba gate. There is no entrance fee to enter the park.

Parque Nacional das Emas, or the Emas National Park, is a protected area and UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the states of Goiás and Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. Established in 1961, the park spans 1,320 square kilometers (510 sq mi) of the Cerrado ecosystem, a vast tropical savanna. The park is a part of the Pantanal Biosphere Reserve.The park's landscape is a mosaic of rolling grasslands, woodlands, and termite mounds. These mounds become a spectacle at certain times of the year when bioluminescent beetles light them up. Emas National Park is home to a variety of animals, including the giant anteater, maned wolf, giant armadillo, pampas deer, and the greater rhea, which gives the park its name. It also harbors a small population of jaguars.The park has over 350 km of trails. Visitors can explore the diverse ecosystems and observe the local flora and fauna. The dry season, from May to October, is the best time to visit, offering predictable weather and optimal wildlife viewing. During this time, the trails are easier to navigate.
