From Coastal Settlement to Holiday Shore

Before the planned resort district emerged, Jurerê was part of a lightly urbanised northern coastal landscape shaped by small-scale settlement, fishing, agriculture and beach access. The neighbouring area now commonly called Jurerê Tradicional retains more of this older local character, while the international section represents a later phase of development.
