The only access to Matadeiro Beach is by foot from Armação Beach. From Armação, head north along the coast. You'll need to cross the Sangradouro River, a small river connecting Lagoa do Peri to the sea. Depending on the tide, you may be able to walk across, or you can use the small bridge. The walk from Armação Beach to Matadeiro Beach is short, about 5-10 minutes, along a well-defined path. There are no costs associated with this final approach.
