Getting there

Walking

From anywhere in Leblon, reaching the beach is easily done on foot. Orient yourself towards Avenida Delfim Moreira, which runs parallel to the beach. Walk along any of the cross streets towards the ocean. The beach is directly accessible from the sidewalk. Enjoy the stroll through this upscale neighborhood.

Public Transport

If arriving via the Metro, take Line 4 to Antero de Quental station. From there, it's approximately an 8-minute walk to Leblon Beach. Exit the station and walk towards Avenida Bartolomeu Mitre, then turn onto Avenida Delfim Moreira. Several bus lines also serve the area, with stops along Avenida Delfim Moreira. Check local bus routes for the most convenient option from your location. A single bus fare is around R$5.

Taxi/Ride-Share

Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber are readily available throughout Rio de Janeiro. A short taxi ride from Ipanema to Leblon will typically cost between R$5-R$20, depending on traffic and time of day. Be sure the taxi meter is running, or agree on a fare beforehand.
