Public Transport

From Rio de Janeiro, take the Metrô Rio to Jardim Oceânico station. From there, transfer to a local bus (such as the 867 or 899) heading towards Barra de Guaratiba. Alight near Estrada Velha Da Barra De Guaratiba and walk approximately 25 minutes (1.9km) to Abricó Beach. Bus fare is around R$5.

From areas like Copacabana, a taxi or ride-share to Abricó Beach typically takes 35-45 minutes, depending on traffic. Be prepared for a fare ranging from R$80 to R$110. Note that cell service can be unreliable near the beach, so it's best to arrange a return trip in advance.

Driving to Abricó Beach from Rio de Janeiro takes approximately 45 minutes. Follow the coastal road (Avenida Estado da Guanabara) towards Barra de Guaratiba. Limited street parking is available near the beach entrance. Arrive early, especially on weekends, to secure a spot. Parking is free. Be aware that the road can be narrow and winding.

This secluded 1.5km stretch of coastline is framed by cliffs, lush green hills, and fascinating rock formations, creating a sense of tranquility and escape from the bustling city.Since the 1940s, Abricó has been a haven for those embracing naturism. The beach's clear waters and soft sands invite visitors to sunbathe and swim in a welcoming, body-positive environment. While nudism isn't obligatory, visitors should be comfortable with the practice. The strong waves also provide opportunities for surfing and bodyboarding.While Abricó offers limited formal amenities, a few kiosks provide food and beverages. The beach is divided into sections, with the secluded left side designated for nude sunbathing and the right side attracting families. During weekends, the Brazilian Federation of Naturism monitors the area, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
