The Imperial Museum is located in the Centro district of Petrópolis, easily accessible on foot from many central hotels and attractions. From the Petrópolis Cathedral, walk south along Avenida Koeler, then turn left onto Rua da Imperatriz. The museum will be on your right. No costs are involved.

From the Terminal Rodoviário Governador Leonel Brizola (main bus station), take a local bus towards the city center. Several bus lines serve the Centro area. Get off at a stop near the Catedral São Pedro de Alcântara and follow the walking directions. The local bus fare is approximately R$5.30.
