Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the main entrance of Serra dos Órgãos National Park, located in the town of Teresópolis. From the park entrance, drive along the main road (BR-116) towards Guapimirim. After approximately 15 kilometers, turn onto the Rodovia Rio-Teresópolis (RJ-130). Follow this road for about 10 kilometers until you see the sign for Chácara Entrerios. Turn right at the sign and follow the road for another 5 kilometers until you reach Escalavrado. The total driving time is approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take a bus from Teresópolis to Guapimirim. Buses depart regularly from the Teresópolis bus station. The ride takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Guapimirim, you will need to switch to a local bus or a taxi that goes towards Chácara Entrerios. Inform the driver you are heading to Escalavrado, which is well-known in the area. The local bus ride should take around 20-30 minutes. Ensure you have cash for bus fares, as credit cards may not be accepted.

  If you prefer a more direct route and convenience, you can use a taxi or ride-sharing service (like Uber) from Teresópolis or Guapimirim directly to Escalavrado.
