Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Paraty. Head southeast on Rua do Comércio toward Rua Dr. João de Oliveira. Continue straight onto RJ-155. After approximately 18 kilometers, you will reach a fork; take the left fork toward BR-101. Continue on BR-101 for about 5 kilometers until you see signs for Serra da Bocaina National Park. Turn right onto Estrada do Cachadaço. Follow this road for about 10 kilometers until you reach the trailhead for Piscinas Naturais do Cachadaço. Please note that there is no parking at the site, so you will need to park along the road.

Public Transportation
To reach Piscinas Naturais do Cachadaço using public transportation, take a bus from the Paraty bus station to Trindade. Buses depart approximately every hour and the journey takes around 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Trindade, you can either walk (about 2 kilometers) along the beach to reach the trailhead or hire a local taxi for a quicker ride. If you choose to walk, follow the beach trail until you reach the entrance to the trail leading to the Piscinas Naturais. Ensure to check the bus schedule for your return trip.

If you are already in Serra da Bocaina National Park and prefer hiking, you can access the Piscinas Naturais do Cachadaço via a marked trail. From the nearest campground or lodge, follow the signs to Cachadaço. The hike is approximately 1.5 kilometers and takes about 30-40 minutes. The trail is well-marked, but be prepared for some steep and rocky sections. Wear suitable hiking shoes and carry sufficient water.
