If you are traveling by car, start from the main entrance of Serra dos Órgãos National Park located on Estrada Rio-Teresa in Teresópolis. Drive towards Guapimirim, taking the BR-116 highway. After approximately 15 km, follow the signs to Jardim Paraíso. Turn onto Estrada do Sucavão and continue for about 5 km until you reach the address Estr. do Sucavão, 29-319. There is parking available along this road.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from Teresópolis to Guapimirim. Buses run regularly and you can catch one from the main bus station in Teresópolis. Once you arrive in Guapimirim, you can take a local taxi or rideshare service to Estr. do Sucavão. The taxi fare may be around R$20-30 depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the destination with the driver before you get in.

From the parking area on Estr. do Sucavão, you will need to hike approximately 1 km to reach Cascata Canivete. Follow the marked trails; the path is well-trodden but be prepared for some steep sections. The hike should take around 20-30 minutes. Bring water and wear appropriate hiking shoes.
