Overview

White Bay is a Caribbean dream come to life, a long, white beach embraced by steep, green hills. The barrier reef offshore creates calm, clear waters perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and simply floating the day away. This is the home of the Soggy Dollar Bar, the birthplace of the Painkiller cocktail, a delicious blend of Pusser's rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, cream of coconut, and nutmeg. Life here revolves around the beach. During the day, visitors can sunbathe, swim, snorkel the vibrant coral reefs, or explore the shoreline. The atmosphere is relaxed and social, with beach bars offering food, drinks, and music. As the sun sets, the bay transforms into a picturesque scene, with the sky ablaze with color.Jost Van Dyke itself has a rich history, having been inhabited by Arawak Indians, Caribs, Dutch settlers, Africans, and the English. Legend says the island is named after a Dutch pirate. Today, Jost Van Dyke is known as the "Barefoot Island," inviting visitors to kick off their shoes and relax. White Bay embodies this spirit, offering a true escape from the everyday.
