Boat
To reach Hassel Island Historic District from Jost Van Dyke, start by heading to the nearest ferry terminal. The most common ferry service operates from Jost Van Dyke to Tortola. Look for the Road Town Fast Ferry or other local services that connect to Tortola. Once you arrive at Tortola, follow signs to the ferry dock for St. Thomas. Board a ferry to Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas. After arriving in Charlotte Amalie, you can either take a taxi to the base of Hassel Island or you may find a water taxi service that can take you directly to the island. If using a taxi, ask to be taken to the closest dock from which you can access Hassel Island.

Head towards the clear waters east of Jost Van Dyke, paddling towards the direction of Hassel Island.
