Getting There

  • Taxi

From Cyril E. King Airport (STT), taxis are readily available. Request a taxi to Compass Point Marina, located on the eastern end of St. Thomas. The taxi ride takes approximately 30-45 minutes. Taxi rates are based on destination and number of passengers. Expect to pay around $14 per person from the airport to Compass Point. Confirm the rate with the driver before starting your trip. Alternatively, arrange a private taxi or airport shuttle in advance for a more personalized experience. Services like RED Car Transportation offer private airport transfers to any hotel or accommodation on St. Thomas. There is parking available at Compass Point Marina. However, availability may be limited.

  • Public Transportation

While public transportation is available on St. Thomas via the VITRAN bus system, it may not be the most convenient option for reaching Compass Point Marina with luggage. The bus fare is $1 per ride. VITRAN buses travel through main commercial areas, but a short walk from the bus stop may be required. Dollar rides, a pseudo public transportation system run by taxis, are also an option. These safari buses pull into or near bus stops and charge a rate different from regular taxis. Be sure to clarify the rate before boarding.
