  • Ferry and Walking

    To reach Turtle Bay Beach, first take a ferry from St. Thomas to Cruz Bay, St. John. Ferries depart from Red Hook and Charlotte Amalie on St. Thomas. The Red Hook ferry is more frequent, with departures every hour, costing $7 for adults and $1 for children, plus $4 per bag. The Charlotte Amalie ferry is less frequent, costing $13 for adults and $3.50 for children, plus $4 per bag. From Cruz Bay, options include taxi, car rental, or the Vitran bus. Note that the Vitran bus does not go down the North Shore road. If driving from Cruz Bay, head south on North Shore Road (Route 20). The main entrance and gatehouse to Caneel Bay Resort will appear on your left. Check for beach access signs. Parking is limited, so arrive early. Parking tickets can be costly. From the parking area, it's a short walk to the beach.

    From Cruz Bay, taxis are readily available. A taxi ride to Turtle Bay Beach will typically cost around $10-$15. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. The taxi will drop you off near the entrance to the Caneel Bay Resort area, from which you can walk to Turtle Bay Beach.
