Discover more about Bitter End Yacht Club

Nestled in the protected waters of North Sound on Virgin Gorda, the Bitter End Yacht Club (BEYC) has been a family-owned island outpost since the late 1960s. Caribbean archeological research indicates the location has attracted visitors for millennia. What started as a small jetty, a few cottages, and a seaside pub evolved into a world-renowned destination for yachting and watersports. Known for its casually elegant communal atmosphere, BEYC is a favorite for couples, families, and groups, many of whom return year after year. The club boasts a 25-slip marina and 72 moorings, accommodating yachts up to 240 feet. Following the devastation of Hurricane Irma in 2017, the Bitter End Yacht Club has been lovingly rebuilt with a focus on sustainability and resilience, reopening its shores in December 2021. Today, Bitter End offers a variety of activities, including sailing, kiteboarding, windsurfing, paddleboarding, and kayaking. Guests can relax on stunning beaches like North Beach (also known as Kite Beach), Clubhouse Beach, South Beach, and Little Beach. The reimagined Bitter End includes a variety of dining options, such as the Clubhouse for formal dining, the Reef Sampler Beach Bar constructed from a salvaged boat, and the Buoy Room, a salty sailor's haven. The Marina Lofts offer over-water accommodations, allowing guests to step directly from their room into the sea.
