Discover more about Saba Rock

Saba Rock, a jewel in the North Sound of Virgin Gorda, is more than just a resort; it's an experience steeped in maritime history and Caribbean charm. This tiny island, a mere acre and a half in size, has a story that dates back to the 1960s when diving pioneer Bert Kilbride established his diving center and the legendary Pirates' Pub. For years, it was a haven for sailors, divers, and those seeking a taste of the 'old' Caribbean.Over time, Saba Rock became a popular destination, attracting famous personalities and yacht owners. The island faced devastation in 2017 when Hurricanes Irma and Maria swept through, destroying much of what existed. However, it was rebuilt and reopened in late 2021, better than ever, blending its nautical roots with barefoot luxury.Today, Saba Rock offers world-class culinary experiences, luxurious accommodations, and a range of activities. Guests can explore the underwater aquarium, relax on the small beach, or discover the nautical museum with its collection of artifacts. The island is also ideally located for exploring the surrounding North Sound, with its dive sites, reefs, and beaches. Don't miss the daily tarpon feeding at 5 pm, a guest favorite !
