From the cruise terminal, the center of Road Town is easily accessible on foot. Upon exiting the ship, follow the signs for Road Town. The walk to Main Street, where you'll find shops, restaurants, and historical sites, is approximately 5-10 minutes.
Public Transport
Taxis are readily available at the cruise terminal. Taxi fares to destinations around Tortola are fixed. Expect to pay around $4-5 per person for a ride into Road Town. For destinations further afield, such as Cane Garden Bay or Smuggler's Cove, fares will be higher. Always confirm the fare with the driver before setting off.
Ferry
The Tortola Cruise Ship Pier is within a 5-7 minute walk to the ferry terminal. From here, ferries depart regularly to other islands in the BVI, including Virgin Gorda, home to the famous Baths. A round-trip ferry to Virgin Gorda will cost approximately $40 per person, plus a $3 per person entry fee to The Baths National Park.
