Trunk Bay: A Caribbean Paradise

Trunk Bay, often lauded as one of the world's most beautiful beaches, is a must-visit destination on St. John, in the US Virgin Islands. Rockefeller purchased the land and donated it to the National Park Service, securing its future as a protected natural area. One of Trunk Bay's unique features is its 650-foot underwater snorkeling trail, perfect for beginners and families. The trail guides snorkelers around Trunk Cay, a small cay just off the beach, showcasing vibrant coral formations and diverse marine life. Keep an eye out for colorful fish like parrotfish, angelfish, and sergeant majors, as well as sea turtles and eagle rays. The western side of the cay offers the best snorkeling, with more protection from waves and a greater variety of corals and fish. Trunk Bay offers several amenities, including a snack bar, showers, restrooms, and snorkel gear rentals. Lifeguards are typically on duty, ensuring a safe swimming environment.
