    From the Virgin Gorda ferry dock in Spanish Town, a taxi to Gorda Peak National Park costs approximately $5-$10 per person. Confirm with the driver that they will take you to the park entrance on North Sound Road. The drive is about 15-20 minutes.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Gorda Peak using public transportation from The Baths, take a local or shared taxi to Spanish Town for about $10 per person. From there, another taxi to North Sound Road will cost $5-$10 per person. Ensure the taxi drops you off at the park entrance.

  • Car

    If driving from The Baths, head northeast towards Spanish Town. Continue for about 3.5 miles (7 minutes) then turn left onto North Sound Road. Follow North Sound Road for 1.5 miles; the park entrance is on the right. Parking is available at the entrance. Note that the road to the park is winding.

Gorda Peak National Park, rising 1,370 feet, is the highest point on Virgin Gorda and a protected area since 1974. Donated by Laurance Rockefeller, the 260-acre park is a vital refuge for Caribbean dry forest, a globally threatened ecosystem. The park's diverse vegetation ranges from dry scrub to moister forests at higher elevations, harboring endangered plant species. It's also home to the Virgin Gorda gecko, one of the world's smallest lizards. Hike the trails to the summit for stunning panoramic views of the BVI, especially the North Sound anchorage.
