From the city center, such as near the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, Tasek Lama Recreational Park is accessible by foot. Head north along Jalan Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien, then turn right onto Jalan Bendahara. Continue as the road merges onto Jalan Tasek, and follow the road until you see the service road leading up to the park entrance. The walk is roughly 30 minutes. There are no entrance fees to access the park.

From the Bandar Seri Begawan Bus Terminal, take Bus 36 or 38 and ask the driver to drop you off at Tasik Lama (3rd bus stop) along the way. From the bus stop, follow the service road up to the park entrance. The bus fare is approximately BND 1 per trip. There are no entrance fees to access the park.
