From Albena, head south on the main road towards Varna. After about 10 km, merge onto the A2 highway towards Shumen. Continue on the A2 for approximately 60 km, then take exit 57 for Shumen. Follow the signs for Shumen city center, and then for the Founders of the Bulgarian State Monument. The monument is located within the Shumen plateau, and there is a parking area available nearby.

Start at Albena bus station, take a bus heading towards Varna. Once in Varna, transfer to a bus heading to Shumen. This journey will take about 1.5 hours. Upon arriving in Shumen, you will need to take a local bus or taxi to reach the Founders of the Bulgarian State Monument. The local bus stop is approximately a 10-minute walk from the monument, or a taxi ride should cost around 10 BGN.
