Public Transport
From Sofia Airport, take the subway to Sofia South Bus Station (Avtogara Yug). Buses depart for Samokov every 30 minutes. From Samokov, transfer to a minibus to Borovets, which also runs every 30 minutes. The Hotel Bor is approximately a 10-minute walk from the Borovets bus center. The total cost is approximately 7.50 BGN (€3.80).
Taxi
From Sofia Airport, a taxi to Borovets costs approximately €45 (BGN 78) during the day and €55 (BGN 107) at night, depending on traffic. The journey takes around 1 hour and 23 minutes. Alternatively, pre-booked private transfers offer fixed rates and English-speaking drivers.
Driving
From Sofia, take the A1 highway towards Plovdiv, then exit at Ihtiman-south and follow signs to Kostenets and Borovets. Alternatively, take the A3 highway towards Kulata and exit at Dupnitsa-north. Parking is available in Borovets, with municipal parking costing around €15 per day. Be aware that parking spaces are limited, especially during peak season.
