If you're driving from Borovets, head west on the main road (E79) towards Samokov. After about 8 km, take the exit towards Borovets Ski Resort. Once you arrive in Borovets, follow the signs for the ski lifts. Park your car at the lower lift station. From here, the hiking trail to Black Rock starts just behind the lift station.

To reach the hiking trail by public transport, take a bus from Sofia to Samokov. Buses depart regularly from the Central Bus Station in Sofia. Upon arrival in Samokov, transfer to a local minibus or taxi that goes to Borovets. Once you reach Borovets, walk to the ski lifts. The hiking trail to Black Rock starts just behind the lower lift station.
