Discover more about Castle of Ravadinovo

The Castle of Ravadinovo, a whimsical creation also known as 'In Love with the Wind', offers a fairytale experience just a few kilometers from Sozopol. Unlike traditional castles with centuries of history, construction began in 1996 by Georgi Kostadinov Tumpalov, fulfilling his childhood dream. The castle is constructed from 20,000 tons of metamorphosed limestone, sourced from the Strandzha Mountains. This unique stone contains micro-diamonds, causing the castle to subtly change color depending on the time of day: pinkish in the morning, white during the day, and glowing under the moonlight. The architectural style is a mix of Gothic, Antoni Gaudi influences, and Bulgarian design elements. The grounds feature a large park with lakes, ponds, sculptures, gazebos, and a chapel. Visitors can explore throne rooms, an art gallery, and a winery offering local wine tastings. The castle also houses a small zoo with peacocks and other animals. The entire complex is designed to evoke a sense of magic and romance, making it a popular destination for families and couples. Open daily from 8 AM to 8 PM, the Castle of Ravadinovo provides a unique and enchanting experience.
