From the entrance of the Old Town, walk straight along the main street, ul. Mitropolitska. Continue past the Church of St. Sophia. The Church Dormition of Theotokos will be on your right, approximately 200 meters from St. Sophia. There are no specific fees for accessing this area of the Old Town.

Public Transport
If arriving by bus to Nessebar's New Town, take bus lines 1, 2, 4, 5 or 8 to the Old Town. Get off at the last stop in the Old Town. From there, walk along ul. Mitropolitska, past the Church of St. Sophia. The Church Dormition of Theotokos will be on your right, a short walk from the bus stop. A single bus fare is approximately 4 BGN.

Taxis are readily available in Nessebar and can take you to the Old Town entrance. From there, follow the walking directions. A short taxi ride from Sunny Beach to Nessebar can cost between 4.50 and 5.25 levs, plus 3.00 to 3.50 levs per kilometer. Be sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey, as some drivers may attempt to overcharge tourists.
